SPIE Armenian Student Chapter was established in 2004, to gather active and smart like-minded young people of Armenia around the idea: the improvement of the science (Physics) in the region. Click here to download chapter constitution.

The idea is embodied by means of promotion the exchange of information, knowledge and experience of scientists around the world, by technical activates and seminars on linear and non-linear optics, quantum optics and informatics, photonics, biophotonics, atomic spectroscopy, laser instrumentation and related areas for the benefit of SPIE and Chapter members.

Every year more and more student learn about SPIE and our Chapter, and we get more talented young scientists for implementation of our ideas.

The 2008-2009 years were very productive for our chapter. The activities of the Chapter were marked and we got two awards during O&P-2009.  We won “Education Outreach Grant” for organization MPOP-2009, which had great success. And our chapter has been invested with certificate of excellence  for our website: “Honorably Mentioned Chapter Website”.
